In this article, I will show you how to fix the "Installation Has Failed" error while trying to install Discord on your computer.

There could be various causes for this issue:

  1. Discord is running on your computer.
  2. Discord is already installed on your computer.
  3. A previous installation of Discord is still on your computer.
  4. Discord cache issues.

Solution

Close Discord Running on Your Computer

Step are as follows:

  1. To do this, go to the search bar and type Task Manager.
  2. Then search for Discord.
  3. If found, right-click on it and select End Task.If not found, move to the next solution.

Uninstall Existing Discord

To do this follow these steps:

  1. To do this, go to the search bar and type Control , then select Control PanelΒ from the list.
  2. Select View by Category option at the top then click on Uninstall a Program under the Programs section.Β  Β 
  3. Search for Discord, right-click on it, and select Uninstall.

Clear Discord Cache

Clearing the Discord cache can help resolve certain issues related to Discord's performance. The cache stores temporary data, like images and chat history, to help Discord load faster. Sometimes, the cache can become corrupted or outdated, leading to problems like slow performance, error messages, or other bugs.

  1. To clear the cache, press Windows + R, then type %appdata% and press Enter.

Restart Your Computer
