Area Code of Nepal

The area code is the code reserved for the region you are staying and is only applicable for telephones and not mobile telephones.Eg. the area code for Jhapa is 23, for Dhankuta is 26, etc. If your telephone number is 123456 and you stay in Jhapa then if anyone leaving outside Jhapa District wants to call you than they have to dial as 23 456263. If anyone is in Jhapa and they try to call you then they should not have to dialed area code(ie. in my case: 23). This code is district identification telephone code and is popularly called as " STD Code ".
